AN ALLIANCE FORMED IN 1997
The Sta. Rita Hills Wine Alliance champions the world-class wines from the Sta. Rita Hills AVA, one of California’s most renowned winegrowing regions, globally recognized for its cold oceanic climate, unique terroir and distinct geologic story.
The Pacific Ocean’s marine layer and ocean breezes traverse the coastal valley corridors between the Purisima Hills and the Santa Rosa Hills, creating a perfect environment for growing Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and other cool climate wine grape varieties.
Inspired by the potential offered within this region, our community is proud to be a diverse group of talented growers and winemakers producing incredible wines.
With a focus on cool climate varietals, we have a unique focus in the world of California wine.
